| When you talk about value for money, the Chiropractic math is pretty simple.
Pain ruins your quality of life. What price do you put on your own life? Looking at Back Pain, for most people it just keeps coming back. Why? They don't do anything to prevent it. When the pain comes, they take a pill. When it comes again, they take another pill. When the pain won't go away no matter how many pills they take, they have surgery. Research tells us surgery will most likely fail in a year or two, then they can have another expensive surgery that will most likely fail again. What then? Even more surgery or a life of pain and drugs? The reports of surgery failing for low back pain are legion. An example: "One research study of 7,400 surgical cases, half of them had the same pain one year after surery that they had prior to surgery. - The failures of surgery for lumbar disc disorders. IN Helfet et al: Disorders of the Lumbar Spine, Philidelphia, PA: JB Lippincott Once you fingure in all the costs or the MRI's, surgery, hospital room, physiotherapy and don't forget time off from work. Aside from loss of take home pay, when it comes time for bonus or promotion how is all that time away from work going to look on your record? Why not get rid of the problem? That's what Chiropractic care does. Nothing works in all cases but in about 95% of the cases that come to us, if they follow our program then the pain will go and won't come back. Fix it once and be done with it. That's how to save money. For an idea of all the governmental bodies that have studied Chiropractic and returned the verdict that Chiropractic is best see our page on Government Research. |
