You take pills for them, get massages and maybe acupuncture but the headaches keep coming back. You get prescribed stronger pain killers or a few courses of physio treatment. Nothing you have tried works because nothing you have tried has gotten to the CAUSE of your problem.
Causes of headaches can be many. Fortunately, the cause is usually "mechanical" meaning it has something to do with the bones, muscles and connective tissue. Mechanical problems are what we fix at the GTHC. At the heart of mechanical problems is the "Myofascial Dysfunction" which is just a 1000 ringgit wording for muscle damage. When you abuse them, muscles go tight, the joints fixate and in time damage happens and a lot of pain takes place along the way. This damage is caused by many of the things we do every day like using computers, studying for too long or doing paperwork. |
| There is a terrible little thing called a Trigger Point that develops in a muscle that has been tight for too long. Poor work habits, poor posture, trauma, a less than perfect spine.... the list of reasons a muscle goes tight is almost endless.
A Trigger Point is a collection of normal muscle waste-product (bradykinins, prostaglandins) which cause specific patterns of pain. Treatment includes manipulation, Trigger Point Release Techniques, stretching, hot and cold therapy. Come on in, we'll teach you how you can help yourself in fixing it. |
Below are some pain patterns you might find familiar and the points in the muscles that cause those pains. If you want to read more about how muscles cause pain just click HERE. |
